Gloup Soup

At the beginning of 2025 we started a series of workshops for filmmakers and artists. Each participant would pitch an idea and, once they committed, they would have two weeks to make it happen: one day of prep, one day of shooting and one day of editing. Every volume ended with a screening at the studio in Hackney Wick, and when the credits rolled, the room chose the next theme.

This developed into 10 volumes, 93 films by 38 directors and over five hours of running time, from Nightmares, Love and Absence to Party, Unfinished Business, Exquisite Corpse, Déjà Vu, Time, One Shot and Storehouse. The point was the process more than the result: small ideas, often in a role people would not usually take, and the freedom to fail.
